I feel your pain. Do you have those hot water pasta cylinders? The idea is to put the dried noodles in the cylinder, add boiled water, wrap the cylinder in a velcro pad and let it sit for 10 minutes until the noodles are done. They ended up in one solid wad of pasta mush. I must admit I like the 3 tiered cookie tray - that rotates electrically and lights up! You've inspired me: I'm cleaning out all the 'gifts' and donating them. My MIL and mom don't even remember giving us half the crap anyway.
