Ultimate Foodie Is Back!

Hi friends! It’s been a minute. Actually… it’s been a lot of minutes. The last time I posted here, I was juggling little kids, crazy work projects, and trying to get dinner on the table while pretending we had our life together. And somehow, eleven years flew by. Wild.

But lately I’ve been missing this space…the cooking, the sharing, the easy conversations about what we’re all making for dinner on those nights when we’re tired and hungry and want something that tastes good without costing a fortune or taking two hours. So, I’m dusting things off, warming up the oven, and bringing Ultimate Foodie back to life.

If you’re new here, welcome! If you’ve been around since the early days, hi again. I’m glad you’re still here. This blog has always been about simple food, budget-friendly meals, honest kitchen wins, and figuring out how to feed real people with real schedules. That part hasn’t changed.

What has changed is the world around us. Prices have gone up. Time feels shorter. And everyone seems to be looking for meals that are easy, affordable, and not boring. So that’s where I’m jumping back in. Over the next few months, you can expect:

  • Easy weeknight dinners that use what you already have
  • Budget-conscious meal ideas that actually taste good
  • Seasonal recipes, since cooking with what’s in season is tastier and cheaper
  • A few sweet treats, because…well, let’s pretend it’s for balance, but if you know me, you know I’m a dessert fiend
  • Updated versions of old posts with fresh notes, clearer instructions, and new photos
  • And maybe a preserving project or two, because I can’t resist a good jar of something homemade

I’ll be refreshing some of my old recipes to give them new life, adding new ones that fit the way we all cook now, and sharing a few tips I’ve learned along the way.

So grab a coffee, settle in, and let’s make this space fun again. I’m excited you’re here and I can’t wait to cook with you!
